Hi guys!
We will start pre-order for PC version of the game today. Now it is hidden but you can find it here:
Here it is http://yuplay.com/story.php?title=Wings-Prey-3

some more information:
The game will cost 49,99%, Pre-order gives you 10$ discounts.
Also first users who pre-order game will be invited for massive MP beta test.
Game will be released this year.

The game includes lots of features that will be in sequel and\or future DLC\updates for console IL-2 Birds of Prey, like cockpits for all fighters, join-in-progress, host migration and so on.
There are also some exclusive features - supports of TripleHeade2Go, TrackIR and very high resolution textures (optional for 1Gb videocards).

Also we schedule some add-ons for this game early next year.

New forum for Wingsof Prey will be opened soon.

Good news! Quite a chance I'll pre-order. When will the beta start?
Also, could you list the main advantages over BoP? And I'd like a real list, not the sales list on the pre-order site (no offense, I'm not quite fond of publisher's talk anymore :P).
Also, a very important question for me personally, will we be able to make our own skins and use them online, like 1946?

Hey todace! it looks great

You will have my pre-order today, if you could give me/us some info about the game..

Will it feature
- take-off + landings?
- a more expanded difficulty system? (not jsut arcade, real, sim)
- do the online matches have more tweak abilities? (can the host restrict certain planes (not just by year), is there a kick function etc)
- It says it has a new damage model for the planes... how is it compared to BOP damage model?
- Will there be more plane loadouts? (bombs, optional gunpods, choose fuel quantity etc)
- Will it feature custom skins ? (pleasseeeee say yes)
- Are the performance models tweak to be accurrate? (those in BOP were not)

Hope I'm not asking too many questions here, but I just want to know what I pre order ;)
Feel free to give any other info on features you think we might find good.

Cheers

Ok, more details.
1. No custom skins will be available. May be later in updates or in sequel - we are working on lots of directions and User Generated Content too. But our game is much more complex in terms of content - so it is much harder to make skins too.
2. In fact main new features are:
Main: authentic bullet tracers, more relaistic rain effects, arcade realism level has now much more realistic speeds limits, all authentic cockpits for all fighters (may be in next DLC\update for console game too, but depends on publisher).
Multiplayer: 32 players in match, Join-in-Progress, Migration Host, Persistent lobby (and lots of fixes, some of them are the same as in update, some are new), changes in team modes gameplay scheme (now only Allies against Axis available)
Single: optional take-offs in some missions.

After release we plan to release som-addons with planes\missions\locations (that is to be detailed).
Also we want to make som UGC support - skins or\and missions (or just advanced quick mission builder). But that is future plans for next year.

- take-off + landings?
not everywhere, but in some missions
also we plan to update mp layouts to add take-offs in some of them

- a more expanded difficulty system? (not jsut arcade, real, sim)
scheduled but will be later. BTW simulator now with cockpit view only (no virtual cockpit)

- do the online matches have more tweak abilities? (can the host restrict certain planes (not just by year), is there a kick function etc)
We changed scheme.
Now only authentic planes for certain location are available. So no Me-262 in BoB, for example. And allies planes in allies team as well as Axis planes in Axis team.

- It says it has a new damage model for the planes... how is it compared to BOP damage model?
Mostly the same. Just tweaks in some cases.

- Will there be more plane loadouts? (bombs, optional gunpods, choose fuel quantity etc)
Fuel quantity is added. Others can be added later (or may be not, thats not for sure, but possible)

- Will it feature custom skins ? (pleasseeeee say yes)
Some day.

What do you mean with that? is that an option we can put on?, or is every match axis vs allies?

EDIT: thnx for the quick answers :)
what about the last one: - Are the performance models tweak to be accurrate?

hmmmm, in that case I need to know more..
are the performace models authentic? or balanced?

WOP would then feature hurri + spit vs 109 + 190. I think many people will agree, that the allies are in big advantage there. (and think about yak3 +la7 vs axis :()
What did you do to make the games fair? In almost all WW2 combat flight sims, the axis planes get owned by the allied planes. Why will WOP be different?

Me-262 vs La-7 is much more then fair

Models will be authentic.
We will work on balance, and have some concpets about it.
Please, have in mind, that PC is not a console. And there are not only bad sides of it - as example we can make balance update even each day, if needed.
Also we are going to make MP beta-test, so something can change even before release.

Just to clarify, is this the 'sequel' you were talking about?

No, it isn't.
Sequel will be next year, and will have lots of new content - locations, planes, missions, etc.
But we are going to add features from sequel to PC version while developing.

sorry, its still early in the day, but ii dont completely understand...
Will the sequel be a stand alone game?.. or will is also act like an expantion for the ones who already have WOP?

First of all - sequel will be for consoles too.
Next
Sequel will be standalone game. With new campaigns, features and so on.
But it can be somehow connected to WoP - I mean locations and planes from WoP can be added like addon, but missions\gameplay will be different.
So the will be two possibilities - buyers of WoP will get WoP content in sequel for free or if they'll have WoP installed they get locations and planes from it in sequel.

Thnx for all the answers todace

Gues Im going to need to play the game to know if I will like it.
Could you give an estimated on how far the open beta and actual release will be apart (in time)

Just to make up my mind to pre order, or wait.

(and please keep adding as much info as you can, think you have a lot of players who are in a big doubt because of the 'failure' of BOP. And many people on the forums have gone to play il-2 1946. I think a lot of us need to know where WOP offers more than 1946, and were it exells from BOP)

It depends on results of MP beta-test
Both will be this year, I think.
MP beta test will start in November, may be 14th of November.
Of course you can wait for full release or reviews of game and so on - that's up to you. And we are not going to forget our console players - we will work on updates as we can.
Il 1946 is a great game too, no doubt.

System requirements will be announced next week.
But game will work fine on ATI Radeon 3000 or NVIDIA 9xxx series and higher; Intel Core Duo, 2Gb Ram and about 5gb of disk space.
